The Goodyear Youth Commission (GYC) is a civic leadership program that brings together high school students from across the city, including those from charter schools and homeschool settings. Its mission is to provide young residents with opportunities to develop leadership skills, engage in local government, and advise city officials on youth-related issues such as recreation, programming, and special events.

This is not the first time a student from Trivium Prep has been honored by the City of Goodyear. Recently, Ameera Singh was recognized as Goodyear’s 2025 Youth Citizen of the Year for her outstanding leadership and community involvement, adding another highlight to the legacy of student achievement connected to the city. Singh has also served on the GYC.
