Trivium Prep Cheer Camp Learn Excellence Through C.O.U.R.A.G.E. Facebook Twitter Email This Post Trivium Prep August 13, 2026 The spirit line at Trivium Prep held a three-day cheer clinic at their Goodyear campus this summer. Under the leadership of Trivium Prep Head Coach Jessie Jacobs, the team worked on learning new material, technique, and skills to get ready for the busy athletics season ahead. But most importantly, according to Jacobs, it was a great way for the team to bond over the summer. Former Grand Canyon University and Arizona Coyotes cheerleader, Rebecca Heller, also came as a guest to the camp. “They actually invited me to come out and do some fun game day stuff. All about game day atmosphere, crowd engaging chance, some minute-to-win-it games, all about just basically boosting school spirit. I’m really grateful to be here and they’re such a fun group. I’m just super proud of all the Great Hearts spirit teams.” Heller is the director and coordinator for the spirit lines and cheer squads at all of our Great Hearts Arizona prep academies. “This is… the second year that all of our schools have spirit programs now, which is super exciting. This has been something that we’ve been really working towards for the longest time,” shared Heller, who is equally excited to see the impact of the teams on the schools’ athletic programs. “They’re at pep rallies; they’re at charity events. So, it’s just really warmed my heart to see how much they’ve grown so far.” These teams are just one part of the Great Hearts Arizona Prep School Promise, where we’re reimagining the high school experience at our academies. For over 20 years, we’ve provided families with the best in classical education, and now, based on your feedback, we’re taking it to the next level. Over the last three years, the program has continued to grow. Recently, the athletic directors and cheer coaches from all the academies in the Arizona network, met together to solidify the objectives of the program. The mission statement they collectively crafted states that, “Great Hearts Cheer embodies Truth, Goodness, and Beauty as ambassadors of the Great Hearts community by leading with energy, unity, and school spirit.” The core purpose of the program that they jointly created states that, “Through sportsmanship, service, and engagement, we develop courageous, confident athletes from the inside out – empowering them to inspire others, unite our campus, and represent Great Hearts with pride, grit, and excellence through C.O.U.R.A.G.E.” C – Community O – Outreach U – Uniting R – Rising A – Athletes G – Grit E – Energy Great Hearts has always put a great deal of value on our athletics programs and the character that is built in being a student-athlete. Cheer has brought an extra layer to the sports offered by the academies, making way for even more involvement. “It’s a missing piece of a puzzle,” shared one team member.
