Trivium Prep Athlete Named Arizona Cardinals High School Player of the Week Facebook Twitter Email This Post Trivium Prep October 30, 2025 It was a day of celebration at Trivium Prep when representatives from the Arizona Cardinals paid a special visit to recognize one of the school’s standout athletes. In front of his cheering peers, junior Ben Wolfley was called out, much to his surprise, and named the Arizona Cardinals High School Player of the Week for his excellence both on and off the field. Cardinal Cheerleaders Jordan and Lauren from the Cardinals community outreach team, along with Cardinals legend, defensive end Zach Moore, arrived on campus to present the award. “I had no idea people were coming to the school and that I was getting a trophy,” Wolfley said afterward. The moment came as a complete surprise. Wolfley had learned only days earlier that he’d been nominated for the award after receiving a text from his former football coach with a link announcing his nomination. Wolfley’s talent and versatility have been key to his success on the field. On offense, he plays wherever he’s needed most, and on defense, he shines as a safety. His exceptional performance in the game against Mountainside earlier this month caught the attention of fans and ultimately earned him the Cardinals’ recognition. Just very grateful for them” he shared. “My brother—he’s down in Colombia serving a mission, and he helped me learn how to play offense.” He also took a moment to thank his coaching staff. “Shout out to all my coaches. Coach Mager, Coach Nick, Coach Jimerson, Coach Penn. They just always been there, always supporting me, they’re making sure I know what to do and letting me do what I can do and leading the team and giving me those chances. And shout out to Coach Wahlstrom. He’s been one of my biggest supporters as well.” As part of the honor, Wolfley received a certificate signed by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill, and Head Coach Jonathan Gannon. He also received a custom trophy engraved with his name, game statistics, and Cardinals apparel. Representatives from the Cardinals praised Wolfley’s leadership, character, and commitment, saying he exemplifies what the High School Player of the Week program is all about: hard work, humility, and heart. Wolfley’s recognition from our local NFL team is a reminder that talent paired with character on and off the field can make for something truly special. Go Crimson Knights!
