Scottsdale Prep is proud to announce that senior Ishayu Mondal has earned a National ROTC Scholarship valued at over $365,000. Mondal plans to pursue his passion for advancing sustainable aviation fuels and cleaner combustion technologies.

The National ROTC Scholarship offers full tuition, room and board, and additional stipends for books and uniforms. It is available to students enrolled in the Army, Navy, or Air Force ROTC programs, enabling them to focus on their education while preparing for a military career. Highly competitive, this scholarship is an exceptional opportunity for students aspiring to serve in the military while attending the college of their choice. Many applicants in the service academies also pursue the National ROTC Scholarship.

According to Shannon Coolidge, a college counselor at Scottsdale Prep, Mondal has distinguished himself as a natural leader, founding the AP Chemistry Club, excelling academically, and contributing to Speech & Debate. “Outside of school, he is actively involved in Civil Air Patrol and Tae Kwon Do,” she shared. “Known for his curiosity, dedication, and strong work ethic, he approaches every challenge with focus and determination.”

The Great Hearts community congratulates Ishayu Mondal on this outstanding achievement as we join Scottsdale Prep in wishing him continued success in both his academic and ROTC pursuits.
