New Campus and New Connections at the Great Hearts Christian Academies – Gilbert Back to School Bash Facebook Twitter Email This Post Great Hearts Christian Academies July 30, 2025 It was a day of free family fun at Great Hearts Christian Academy – Gilbert, which recently hosted a Back-to-School Bash at its new location on the Redemption Gilbert Campus. The event offered free Kona Ice, raffle prize drawings, balloon animals, bounce houses, and waterslides to more than 300 parents and children who attended the celebration. “We’re just having lots of fun,” said Dan Scoggin, Co-Founder of Great Hearts and a Great Hearts Christian Academies parent. “We decided to have this big blowout and celebration, and families are just so excited. Their kids are here. They’re running around the campus with their parents. There are all types of great things going on today and it’s just really a way for moms and dads to meet each other. For kids and friendships to start to happen a few weeks before school starts and just celebrate summer still.” In addition to the festivities, Dean of Campus Kayla Blasi shared that the event included some helpful items and information for parents to help them get ready for the school year. “We have some uniforms we’re giving out for families that have been donated,” shared Blasi. “We’ve also got our Parent Service Organization here, just helping our new families get plugged in and learn a little bit about how you can be a partner with the school as a parent here at Great Hearts Christian Academies. We’ve also got some great people here who are sharing information on how you can pay for our private school and get your tuition fully covered. They’re here to answer questions that families may have about what a scholarship program could look like for them and how they can get signed up.” The event also highlighted the impressive new 20-acre campus that now houses the academy, including the Commons Coffeehouse and Café that will be open to parents during the week. “Our families are so excited for our new campus,” explained Blasi. “Our parent community is so excited for the coffee shop… that they have to kind of meet with other parents after school or after drop-off in the morning, and then just some of the classrooms that we have, we’ve got more space here, and we’re installing a playground.” “This campus is so beautiful and tasteful,” shared Scoggin. “It’s a beautiful expanse of campus with grounds and trees. The education buildings are gorgeous with wonderful classrooms. Our chapel here in the youth center sanctuary is going to be the best chapel I’ve ever seen. It’s just a gorgeous, warm place.” Scoggin added the feedback he is getting from parents about how much more space there is. “There’s all this extra room to spread out and play,” he said. “It’s a safe campus but it just has that larger feel that gives families a lot of hope and excitement for the future.” While there are still a few spots available in some of the grade levels, both Blasi and Scoggin strongly encouraged interested families to apply now, as space is limited and the first day of school is just around the corner on August 7.
