New Academy Makes an Exciting Announcement

Great Hearts Harveston just announced another milestone leading up to their grand opening in the fall of 2023.  The first Great Hearts academy to open in Louisiana will begin accepting applications during their open enrollment period beginning October 8th.

“As has been said in so many of our network gatherings: ‘the best education for some, is the best education for all,’” quoted Sam Heisman, Great Hearts Harveston Founding Head of School. “We look forward to open enrollment, the process through which we actualize the offering of classical education of any and every student in Baton Rouge.”

Founding Director of Campus Operations at Great Hearts Harveston, Lakisha Johnson added, “We are committed to ensuring families have an efficient and supportive experience during the open enrollment application process. This is our first chance to serve them, and we are eager to follow through on it.”

Great Hearts Harveston will open in August of 2023 with 695 students in a newly built campus located in the master-planned community, The Preserve at Harveston, near Bluebonnet & Nicholson at 11801 Bluebonnet Blvd.  They will serve grades K-7 in the opening year and plan to add a grade every year after until they are a full K-12 academy.

Great Hearts Arizona and Great Hearts Louisiana academies will be hosting an in-person informational session on November 15th, 2022 at 6:00pm at our brick and mortar schools, and Great Hearts Harveston is excited to be a part of this event.  Families will learn how the Great Hearts education cultivates the hearts and minds of students in the pursuit of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty. They will hear from headmasters, teachers, coaches, and more about the Great Hearts curriculum, co-curricular activities, and athletics programs that will be offered at Great Hearts Harvestonwhen it opens.
