Meet Two Exceptional Seniors at Veritas Prep

Veritas Prep April 9, 2026

At Veritas Prep, seniors Kalyani Bhatnagar and Ronak Kapadia shine as exemplary scholars who have achieved a great deal during their years at Great Hearts. Through their pursuit of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty, they have demonstrated leadership, talent, and generous hearts.

Kalyani Bhatnagar has remained very active in her school community, where she serves as the yearbook editor-in-chief and editor for the school newspaper. As an athlete, she is part of the cross-country team. While sharing her vocals in the women’s choir, she also leads the VPA Chorale as president. On top of all that, Bhatnagar recently took her talents to the stage in a lead role as Mrs. Banks in the school musical, Mary Poppins. All this while still maintaining a 4.0 GPA.

Outside of school, Bhatnagar is a tutor at Mathnasium and performs Bharatanatyam, the oldest form of Indian dance. She has taken lessons for classical dance for 10 years and did 18 months of intensive training specifically for the Bharatanatyam. This dance form is solo, and she recently performed for three straight hours at a recital.

After graduation, Bhatnager will attend Barrett, the Honors College at Arizona State University where she will major in biomedical engineering. She was selected as 1 of 25 freshman at ASU to be part of the Leadership Scholarship Program (LSP) which recognizes students for their leadership potential. Not only will she receive mentorship from leaders across the Valley, but she will also receive a yearly $10,000 scholarship for 4 years.

Ronak Kapadia was recently featured for earning a perfect ACT score of 36, as well a making it through to the final round of the National Merit Scholarship program, two distinctions that set him apart as an exceptional student.

Kapadia also maintains a 4.0 GPA while juggling a very active school calendar. He competes with the mock trial team, sings with the VPA Chorale, men’s choir, and the school’s talented barbershop quartet, ShaveShack. Kapadia competes on the cross-country team as well.

Outside of school, he is an instructor and tutor at Mathnasium, interns at Coda Kid Camp, and practices Kyu-Kido, a comprehensive Korean martial art system.
