Meet the Interim Headmaster at Archway Scottsdale – Altreana Anderson

Archway Scottsdale has announced that Altreana Anderson will be stepping in as the Interim Headmaster for the K-5 academy in the 2026-27 school year. She had previously served as the academy’s assistant headmaster of faculty.

Anderson has nine years of experience as a school leader, with seven years as a principal of a private school in Scottsdale and two years as the principal of a charter school in Mesa. Prior to that she worked as a teacher and dean of students at Archway Chandler, a Great Hearts academy in the East Valley, and as an Assistant Headmaster at Archway Trivium, a Great Hearts Academy in Goodyear. “It has been a privilege to dedicate my career to a field I deeply value,” she shared.

“Mrs. Anderson is known for her strengths in academic school turnaround and improvement, faculty development, student culture and behavior, and parent and community engagement,” said the Executive Director of Lower Schools in Ariz., Leanne Fawcett.

“I look forward to partnering with you, our scholars, and the broader Archway community in the months ahead,” wrote Anderson in an open letter to families last year. “The coming school year promises to be one of both continuity and growth.”

As an instructional leader, Anderson said her primary goals are to support student achievement, cultivate a strong community of learners, and uphold the richness of the classical education experience for both scholars and teachers. She said she is also committed to build upon the strong foundation at the academy.
