Livestream the 1st-12th Grade Lottery for Great Hearts Arizona on January 20

A special day that hopeful families have been waiting for as they prepare for the 2026-27 school year is just around the corner. The Great Hearts Arizona 1^st – 12^th Grades Offer Day will broadcast live on Tuesday, January 20^th at 9:00 a.m. (MST) on YouTube and Facebook, and offers will be sent during the livestream.

In addition to seeing the enrollment lottery results live, parents will learn what comes next in the enrollment process and discover more about what their students will experience at a Great Hearts academy. Great Hearts Arizona Director of Athletics Jon Rickey will be interviewed during the broadcast to share what our competitive sports programs look like for our middle school and high school student-athletes.

The Great Hearts Arizona Enrollment Team will be working on and off camera during the livestream, ensuring everything runs smoothly for the anticipating families. Questions submitted in the chat or comments during the broadcast will be monitored and answered by them in real time. “The Great Hearts Lottery is an exciting time for new families hoping to receive that offer of enrollment for next school year,” said Enrollment Manager Stephanie Eck. “Parents want the best for their student and believe that Great Hearts is that opportunity. The lottery is the beginning of that process for their path and future.”

Any application submitted during the open enrollment period has been entered into the lottery. When academies receive more applications than there are seats available, an academy/grade independent lottery is held to determine the waitlist order. The lottery assigns a random number to each application, and the applications are ordered on the waitlist based on the lottery number, application type, and priority status.

Have your assigned student ID number in hand during the lottery as this number will appear on the screen instead of names to protect your privacy. Your student ID can be accessed at greathearts.schoolaxis.com. Great Hearts’ waitlist is ordered based on application type and any applicable priority status such as sibling or transfer priority. Applicants may move up or down the waitlist during the lottery depending on application priority and/or application type and seat availability throughout the lottery.

At the conclusion of the broadcast, each Great Hearts academy will have extended offers to families according to their number on the waitlist for the next school year. Offers are sent by email, and families are given a deadline to accept their offer and complete registration. If you do not receive an offer at that time, you will receive a waitlist position, which you may track via our Parent Portal. Additionally, offers will continue to be sent out until all available seats have been filled.
