Great Hearts Invites Student Artists to Create This Year’s Holiday Card Facebook Twitter Email This Post Great Hearts Academies October 20, 2026 In what’s become an annual tradition, Great Hearts is looking to find student artwork to be featured on the cover of the 2026 Great Hearts Holiday Card. The deadline for submissions is Friday, November 13th, 2026, so the time for students to begin turning their creative wheels is now. Throughout the years, the selected artwork appearing on the cover of the card have display the cheer, warmth, and happiness we all feel during the holiday season through watercolor, oil paints, charcoal, and more. The creative mediums used for the artwork are limited only to our young artists’ imaginations. Last years selected artwork came from third grader Leilani Duran Howard at Maryvale Prep. Her art teacher submitted her piece, which was a snowman in the style of Zentangle, an art form that uses structured, repetitive patterns called “tangles” made from simple strokes like lines, curves, and dots to create beautiful, abstract designs. If you would like to submit your child’s artwork for consideration, please go to https://arizona.greatheartsamerica.org/holiday-card/ and fill out the form. Please note that if your artwork is selected, we may send a professional photographer out to capture the image. Please do not discard the artwork once you’ve submitted the form. This contest is open to all students enrolled at Great Hearts in grades K-12. We do ask that the student completes 100% of the artwork without parent guidance. All submissions are due by 11:59 PM on Friday, November 13th, 2026. If you have questions, please reach out to Mackenzie.English@greathearts.org. Encourage your young artist to participate and create a holiday masterpiece and, if selected, have their artwork shared with others this season and join the ranks of previous great-hearted artists who have had their work displayed in such a meaningful way.
