Great Hearts Announces New Arizona Campus, Opening in Fall 2027 

A bright new chapter is coming to Apache Junction! We are thrilled to introduce Great Hearts Blossom Rock, a transformative addition to the East Valley’s educational landscape and the newest member of the Great Hearts family. Opening in Fall 2027, this academy will bring our nationally recognized, tuition-free classical education to the the far East Valley

Located in the community of Blossom Rock near Eastmark, Great Hearts Blossom Rock will welcome students in kindergarten through the elementary grades, with the potential to grow into upper grades in the coming years. The new academy will offer a warm, joyful, and academically rich environment where young minds can flourish. With a 5.4-acre homesite secured inside the community, this campus will be built from the ground up to inspire curiosity, character, and a lifelong love of learning.

Families who choose Great Hearts Blossom Rock will experience an environment where uniforms, screen-free classrooms, and time-honored stories create order, while recess games, poetry recitations, and art projects spark delight. This blend of “joy and order” reflects our belief that high expectations and a warm heart belong together.

This exciting expansion comes at a time when school closures are on the rise. Great Hearts is able to open this new academy thanks in part to the generosity of Brookfield Developers and Cohere as well as the Charter School Program (CSP) grant awarded to the Great Hearts charter school network by the Federal Department of Education. This grant will support the creation of new schools as well as the expansion of current academies over the span of the next 5 years.

We are honored to partner with Blossom Rock to bring one of Arizona’s highest-performing public charter school networks to this growing area. Together, we’re creating a place where families can thrive, friendships can grow, and children can experience an education that truly shapes their future.

Join us for Blossoming with Great Hearts and drop in anytime on Saturday, January 24th between 12:00–2:00 PM at Blossom Rock Dutch Club House (10075 Dutchman Dr., Apache Junction, AZ 85120). This open-house style gathering will invite attendees to learn more about what’s ahead for Great Hearts Blossom Rock. You’ll have the opportunity to meet Brandon Crowe, Superintendent, Leanne Fawcett, Director of Lower Schools, and members of the Great Hearts Enrollment Team, who will be available to answer your questions about classical education, the opening timeline, campus plans, and what families can expect as we prepare for 2027. The family-friendly activities will also include gardening stations, a gold mining activity, and an onsite coffee truck.
