Get a Home Court Advantage with Kinder Readiness

Young scholars who will be starting kindergarten at a Great Hearts Arizona academy for the 2026-27 school year are invited and encouraged to attend Kinder Readiness, a summer program designed to help incoming kindergarten students build confidence and feel prepared for their first official year in their education. This will be offered June 1-26, 2026, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at all of the archway academies in Arizona.

Kindergarten can be as big of a transition for the parents as it is for the kindergartener. As parents, we don’t want our young child to be nervous about their first day of school. We want it to be something they look forward to with anticipation. Students who attend Kinder Readiness are introduced to the academy, teachers, daily routines, and fundamental skills that are needed for kindergarten. They have an opportunity to make friends before the first day of school even begins, helping them feel excited and confident about starting school.

“Kinder Readiness is amazing for a new scholar,” shared Jessica, a parent whose child attended last summer. “They get acclimated to the school day, sitting at a desk, walking through the school, and getting to meet new friends!”

A unique curriculum is introduced by the faculty each week, offering students a brand-new experience. You can register for individual weeks, but students who attend all four weeks will benefit the most if their summer schedule allows.

“My favorite part of working with our Kinder Readiness program is seeing how excited our incoming kindergarteners are to be on campus,” shared Katie Rogers, the Archway Chandler campus coordinator. “Everything is so new for them and watching them explore their learning is magical. They are always so happy to attend each day, and I love watching them tell their parents at pickup what they did and learned each day.”
