Companies are giving extra credit for teachers, offering deals and discounts for National Teacher Appreciation Week. Here’s your list of food, fun, and entertainment to take advantage of.

Food

Chick-fil-A: On Tuesday, May 8 from 10:30 a.m to 10 p.m., educators receive a free Original Chick-fil-A sandwich with a school ID.

Chipotle: On Tuesday, May 8, teachers, faculty and staff can stop at Chipotle between 3 p.m. and closing and show their faculty IDs to receive a buy-one-get-one-free burrito, bowl, salad or order of tacos.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf: With a valid faculty ID, get $1 small beverage of your choice at participating locations Monday through Friday.

Culver’s: There’s not a nationwide promotion and offers will vary among locations and most will have a special on Teacher Appreciation Day Tuesday with a valid ID.

Einstein’s Bagels: From May 7-11, save 20 percent on any purchase using the promo code 9053.

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria: With a school ID, teachers get 15% off dine-in and take-out orders Monday through Friday at participating locations. Locations in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut are not participating in this deal. The chain also is giving away 45 pizza parties to teacher. Through May 11, nominate teachers for the contest at www.grimaldispizzeria.com/teachers.

honeygrow + minigrow: After 3 p.m. Tuesday, all locations will take $3 off educators’ orders when they show a valid school ID.

Hot Dog on a Stick: Teachers get a free “stick item” with valid teacher ID Tuesday at participating locations.

MOD Pizza: Teachers get 50% off any pizza or salad Tuesday at all 300-plus locations with a valid ID. Plus, the first 50 teachers at each store Tuesday get a “special surprise,” company spokeswoman Charlotte Wayte told USA TODAY in an email.

Organ Stop Pizza: K-12 teachers who show a school ID between May 7 and 11 will receive one free pizza voucher. The voucher expires Aug. 31.

Peter Piper Pizza: Get a free 7-inch, one-topping pizza on Monday, May 7th. Show your school ID when you’re ordering.

Potbelly Sandwich Shop: From Monday through Friday, show your school ID for a free fountain drink or cookie with the purchase of a sandwich or salad. Limited to one per customer.

Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers: From 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, teachers and faculty get one free Box Combo when they show current school ID at all U.S. locations.

Scooter’s Coffee: On Monday, teachers get 50% off any drink when they show their teacher ID. Limit one per customer.

Überrito: The five Houston-area locations and one Phoenix restaurant are offering teachers, faculty and staff a free burrito, bowl, salad or nachos Tuesday with a valid school ID or other formal documentation,.

Zaxby’s: There’s not a nationwide promotion but select locations across the nation are running Teacher Appreciation Week specials. To learn more, check with your closest location.

Zinburger Wine & Burger Bar: Teachers and administrators get a free shake Tuesday at all 15 east coast locations. This deal is not available for take-out and no purchase is required.


Books

Barnes & Noble: Teachers, librarians and home schoolers enrolled in the educator discount program are eligible for 25 percent discounts off publisher list price on teacher appreciation days.

Books-A-Million: Receive coupons upon signing up for an educator’s discount card.

Half Price Books: Save 10 percent year-round with a discount card.


Entertainment

Uptown Alley, the bowling alley and laser tag venue in Surprise, is celebrating the entire week. Monday, May 7 – Friday, May 11, any school district employee will receive 50 percent off bowling and games and 20 percent off food and soft drinks. School district employees must show a valid school ID.

Harkins, educators can see any movie, all day Tuesday, May 8, for only $5 and receive a FREE small popcorn at all Harkins locations! Films include all new releases and 3D format films. Educators must show a valid school ID with ticket purchase.


Supplies

Costco: Teachers can get up to $60 in savings when they sign up for a Costco membership.

Marshalls: 15 percent off all in-store purchases for educators year-round.

Joann Fabrics: Save 15 percent in stores and online year-round.

Treasures for Teachers Thrift store will take 25% off your purchase. Just show your school ID.
