First Day of School at Young Hearts Preschool in Scottsdale Facebook Twitter Email This Post Young Hearts Scottsdale August 11, 2025 Young Hearts Scottsdale opened its doors to welcome preschool and pre-kindergarten students for the very first time. The new Great Hearts preschool, serving children ages 3 to 5, is now part of the Great Hearts Cicero campus and offers a warm, engaging environment where young learners can begin building both their minds and hearts. Families arrived this morning with excitement and a few happy jitters, greeted by the dedicated Young Hearts team includes Executive Director Keri Campbell and Operations Manager Maria Rodriguez, who were ready to make the first day memorable. The new location features four dedicated classrooms on the first floor of the Archway Cicero building, with its own entrance and parking for convenient drop-off and pick-up. Since the launch of the first Young Hearts preschool in Buckeye at Great Hearts Roosevelt in 2022, the program has become an integral part of the Great Hearts family. “We are a classical education preschool program. So that is very different from other preschools out there that are here in the Valley or anywhere else,” explained Rodriguez. “We try to align with the Great Hearts overall culture, but we do everything on a developmentally appropriate level.” Rodriguez shared that their curriculum has been approved by the National Association of Early Childhood Education. “That in itself sets them up for success as longtime learners and also to have that joy of wonder,” she said, adding that Socratic discussions is part of the preschooler’s day at an early childhood level. “They really want to explore their world and it’s just a great place for our young scholars to come in and start the preschool environment.” Young Hearts is committed to creating a warm, engaging, and developmentally enriching environment for preschool and pre-kindergarten students. Under the leadership of Campbell and Rodriguez, the program supports the growth in the minds and hearts of young learners. While classes have begun for the year-round program, both Campbell and Rodriguez shared that it is not too late to enroll your 3–5-year-old.
