College Counseling Opportunities & Upcoming Events

One of the hallmarks that sets Great Hearts academies apart is our comprehensive college counseling program. Beginning as early as freshmen year, our counselors provide intentional guidance, personalized support, and access to meaningful college and career exploration opportunities that extend well beyond the classroom. Through college tours, academic credit options, campus partnerships, and family-centered events, Great Hearts students are equipped to pursue colleges and universities that align with both their intellectual formation and long-term goals.

Regional Director of College Counseling Roslyn Fletcher and her team of academy college counselors are pleased to share the following opportunities, events, and academic programs available to high school students across all 12 Great Hearts Arizona Academies.

FREE Tickets to GCU Basketball Game – December 13th

Great Hearts students K-12, parents, faculty, and staff are invited to Great Hearts night at Grand Canyon University, claim up to 5 free tickets for tip-off at 6:00 pm.

See 9 California Colleges in Four Days (June 1-4, 2026)
Deadline Extended – Register NOW!

Join other Great Hearts students currently in 9^th, 10^th, or 11^th grade for a 3-night/4-day tour of colleges in Southern California. We will tour 9 colleges in total. $859 covers travel by motor coach transportation, hotel accommodations, and all meals. Learn More at www.istcampustours.com. Dual Enrollment Semester 2 Deadline: January 4th

Great Hearts College Fair- February 28^th

9^th, 10^th, and 11^th grade students and parents are invited to learn about and visit with 60 colleges at our 19^thAnnual Great Hearts College Symposium hosted at Scottsdale Prep on Saturday, February 28^th from 4:00-6:00 pm. This event is FREE and registration is required in advance: https://app.strivescan.com/registration

AP Exams Final Registration Deadline: March 1st

Students in grades 9-12 looking to earn college credit before college can register for one of 14 AP exams being offered across Great Hearts in May of 2026. Please see a complete list of exams and register no later than March 1st at https://greatheartsaz.configio.com/pd/6463/ap-exams-may-2026. Please note that registration is a two-part process:

Register and pay for your AP exams. ($140 per exam)

Add the join code to your collegeboard.org account.

CLEP Exams– Earn College Credit Now!

Students in grades 9-12 can complete their entire freshman year of through College Level Exam Placement exams offered in 34 different subjects. FREE prep courses are available at ModernStates.org and once the prep course is completed, students earn a voucher to complete the CLEP exam FREE of charge!
