The Great Hearts Arizona Rollover Period extends from Monday, October 18th to Friday, November 5th 2021. Rollover is only offered for our Arizona schools.
ARIZONA FAMILIES: If your student is not offered a spot for the current academic year, and if the student’s waitlisted application is eligible to rollover to the next school year’s waitlist, the academy/enrollment department will contact the parents/guardians before open enrollment for the following school year begins. This will allow the parents/guardians to roll the application over to the next school year’s waitlist. If parents/guardians rollover, they will not have to reapply for the next school year, and the application will move up the waitlist with other rollover applications. These rollover applications will be ahead of new, incoming, non-prioritized applications submitted for that school year during the open enrollment and post open enrollment period.
Applications cannot roll over from one academy to another. For example, waitlisted 5th grade applications for Archway Veritas cannot be rolled over to 6th grade at Veritas Prep. Furthermore, applications received after August 15th for the current school year are NOT eligible to roll over onto the waitlist for the next school year.
It is each parent/guardian’s responsibility to ensure that their application rolls over each year, so that they can climb further on the list.
Your eligibility to elect to rollover the next year application is contingent on your current waitlist application. Should your student receive an offer for this school year, even during or after the Rollover Period, the application will not be eligible for next year’s waitlist.
The enrollment Parent Portal will show parents all eligible applications to roll over to the next school year after selecting the Rollover Applications button. Please review the next question for more rollover criteria.
There are certain criteria for applications to be eligible to rollover: Applications must be active on the current year waitlist with a status of Waitlist. Applications must have been submitted in the enrollment system by August 15, of this year. Applications must not be on a waitlist for an exit grade at an academy that does not offer the rising grade. Ex: For example, waitlisted 5th grade applications for Archway Veritas cannot roll over to 6th grade since it is not offered at the academy and must apply during Open Enrollment for the corresponding Veritas Prep.
You will see your next year waitlist number/s after the Great Hearts lottery is complete in January; an email communication will be sent to all families once available. Just a reminder, rollover applications will be ahead of new, incoming, non-prioritized applications submitted for that school year during the open enrollment and post open enrollment period. Rollover applications are not entered into the lottery, only open enrollment applications.
Your current school year application(s) will remain on the waitlist for the remainder of the current school year. If you cancel your current application or are offered a seat for the current school year, the rollover application will be removed from the next year waitlist.
If you do not complete the roll over process during the Rollover period and still wish to be on the next year waitlist for a possible offer, you can submit a completely new application during the Open Enrollment Period. The Open Enrollment application will be organized after any rollover applications based on a randomized lottery number.
